We’re transforming plant waste into healthy sugars.
Through our Proprietary IP, we turn plant-waste biomass into food-grade sugars.
Technology.
Our technology breaks down the organic structural elements of plants, primarily cellulose (glucose) and hemicellulose (diverse range of sugars), to create a combination of both Alpha and Beta glucose molecules and XMG. Cellulose is an important structural component of the cell wall of most green plants.
However, once the plants are harvested, massive amounts of plant stalks, stems and roots are sent to landfills where they decompose and emit toxic molecules into the Earth’s atmosphere.
Method.
Plant fibres are opened for increased reaction kinetics and removal of unwanted components that impact flavour and consumer safety before enzymes are deployed to convert biomass into food-grade sugars.
Result.
Plant sugar designed for downstream processing through three pathways: concentration, dilution and fermentation.
